What is Flock?

How It’s Made

Flock can be made from natural or synthetic materials such as cotton, rayon, nylon, and polyester. These fibers are then precision cut to the right length and thickness for each product.

There are four main application methods. Electrostatic, beater bar/gravity, spraying and transfers.

Flex N Grip uses nylon Flock, and the Electrostatic method.

Look around you. The home you live in. The paper you write on. The car you drive. From the carpet you stand on to the chair you sit in, flock has become an integral part of everyone’s daily life.

Flock is so versatile because a textile, velvety or brush-like surface may be applied to any material. Flocked products are everywhere – flock is found on T-shirts, in packaging for perfumes, car glove boxes, car head liners, floor coverings, scrubbing pads, and much more.

Sports

In all sports where a piece of equipment is used with your hands, one of the biggest obstacles is to create a strong non-slip grip with less force on your muscles. This new application allows the users to maintain their grip without affecting their performance. At present along with Golf the development is in progress for use in Baseball, Ice Hockey, and Wind Surfing.
